JustiVantage is built for legal professionals. The confidentiality of your client data is non-negotiable for us. We process your data only to provide the Services — never to train models, never to sell, never to share without your consent.

We do not claim ownership of documents you upload. You retain full ownership at all times.

1. Who we are

JustiVantage Technologies Private Limited ("JustiVantage", "we", "our") operates the JustiVantage Smart Legal Intelligence Platform. We are the data controller for personal information collected through the platform.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your name, work email address, mobile number, country, and firm name. This is used to create and manage your account.

Matter and document data

Documents and content you upload ("Matter Data") are processed solely to deliver the Services — fact extraction, chronology building, drafting, and case intelligence. Matter Data is never accessed by JustiVantage employees except to resolve a technical issue you have reported, and only with your explicit consent.

Usage data

We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage. This helps us improve the platform and diagnose issues. We do not sell or share this data with advertisers.

Payment data

Payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers or UPI credentials. We retain transaction records (amount, date, plan) for accounting and legal compliance.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send you product updates, security notices, and support communications
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
  • To detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents
We will never use your Matter Data (documents, case facts, client information) for any purpose other than delivering the Services to you.

4. Your privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to correction
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Right to deletion
Request permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
Right to portability
Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to object
Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
Right to restrict
Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.

5. UK and EU residents (UK GDPR / GDPR)

If you are based in the United Kingdom or European Union, your data is processed under UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively. Our legal basis for processing is: performance of a contract (to deliver the Services), legitimate interests (platform security and fraud prevention), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). In the EU, this is your national Data Protection Authority.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Matter Data is retained for 90 days after you delete a matter or close your account, then permanently deleted. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax compliance.

7. Third-party services

We use a limited number of carefully vetted third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Razorpay — payment processing (India, UAE, Singapore)
  • Cloudflare — infrastructure, CDN, and DDoS protection
  • Anthropic — AI inference (Matter Data is sent under a data processing agreement that prohibits training use)

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

8. Indian data residency & DPDPA 2023

JustiVantage Technologies Private Limited is incorporated and headquartered in India. For users based in India, all account data and matter documents are stored exclusively on servers located within India, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).

  • Data Fiduciary: JustiVantage Technologies Private Limited acts as the Data Fiduciary under DPDPA for all Indian users.
  • Server location: Primary data storage and processing infrastructure is hosted within India.
  • Consent: We collect explicit, granular DPDPA-compliant consent from all Indian users at the point of registration, covering account data processing, document handling, and optional marketing communications.
  • Data Principal rights: Indian users may exercise their rights to access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal under DPDPA by writing to privacy@justivantage.com.
For users in the United Kingdom, UAE, Singapore, Germany, and Australia, data is processed in compliance with the applicable local data protection law (UK GDPR, UAE PDPL, PDPA, BDSG, and the Australian Privacy Act respectively).

9. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a preference cookie to remember your language and display settings. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

10. Children's privacy

The platform is intended for legal professionals and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
